Washington Bankruptcy Law Firm

Services to Our Community

We believe that people should work together to support and improve their community. Our office helps as much as we can. That’s not just talk. Rob was selected as the Clark County Bar Association “Volunteer Attorney of the Year” for 2008. We honestly want to help you resolve your problem, move forward, and protect your future.

Listed below are some of the special programs our office participates in to provide free and low-cost legal services to our community.

Compassion Vancouver provides free medical and dental (and now legal!) services to the low income individuals in the community. We have provided free legal advice at these events since 2011.

The Clark County Volunteer Lawyers Program offers free legal services to low-income Clark County residents. Robert Russell has participated in this program since 1990 and was selected as the Clark County Bar Association’s 2008 Volunteer Attorney of the Year.

The Clark County Bar Association Modest Means Program (MMP) is designed to make legal services available to lower-income people who are above the income guideline for the Volunteer Lawyers Program but are unable to afford regular attorney fees.

The Clark County Veteran’s Assistance Center Veterans Expo and Stand Down is designed to offer resources and referrals for Veteran benefits, employment, education, and social service connections for ALL men and women who currently serve or formerly served in the Armed Forces.

LATINX LEGAL DAY

We participate in Latinx Legal Day – a day that provides free legal help and emergency family safety planning for the Latin community in Clark County.

We take referrals from the Northwest Justice Project. They provide legal services for low-income people in Washington. Their mission is to combat justice, strengthening communities, and protecting human dignity.

PRO BONO PUBLICO

The Washington Rules of Professional Conduct for Lawyers provides: “Every lawyer has a professional responsibility to assist in the provision of legal services to those unable to pay.” (RPC 6.1) We recognize that we are in a unique position to help those less fortunate. And we happily provide free and reduced fee work to the public. It’s a true blessing to us to be able to help someone else in a meaningful way.

Some people have time. Some people have a skill. Some people have money. Do what you can. Help someone now. You never know – as a result they might be able to later help you or someone you love. Then again, the satisfaction and joy of helping a person in need is priceless. Be a good human – go help someone in need. Everyone wins!

We have also sponsored the following groups and events.

  • American Red Cross – Heroes’ Breakfast

  • Art. D. Curtis Children’s Justice Center

  • Clark County Association of Realtor

  • East Park Church / Zorillo, Mexico Home Building

  • East Park Impact Center for Youth
